Tri State Moving is based in Hagerstown, MD 21742 and serves 86 communities across the tri-state region. We move households — nothing else — because a crew that only handles homes gets very good at the details homes demand.
Why we narrowed the focus
Plenty of companies take any job that calls — an office on Tuesday, a warehouse on Thursday, a family home on Saturday. The crews end up generalists and the trucks end up half-ready. We went the other way. Every blanket, runner, door guard, wardrobe box and set of tools we carry is there for residential work.
That means we can quote a house accurately, plan an apartment building's elevator and COI requirements without being asked twice, and know that a Brunswick rowhouse with exterior steps and a Frederick townhome with a shared lot are two different jobs.

We unload, reassemble beds and tables, and place boxes where you want them at the new home.
We show up when we say
A two-hour arrival window, a text when the crew leaves the yard, and a call if anything changes on the road.
We quote what we see
If your home has a piano, a packed garage or three flights of stairs, we want to know before move day — not after the truck is loaded.
We finish the job
Beds rebuilt, tables reassembled, boxes in the right rooms. Move day ends when your home is usable, not when the truck is empty.

Our regular routes run through Washington County and Frederick in Maryland, Berkeley and Jefferson counties in West Virginia, Franklin and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania, and the Winchester and Shenandoah Valley corridor in Virginia — plus Washington, DC.
